has it really been a month? oops.

spring has sprung and boy do i have spring fever. i'm itching to get out of the bluegrass, but 4 exams, 2 papers, and oral comps stand in my way of chucktown with the ladies. this weather really just makes me want to be by the pool drinking a beer, or just simply be outside--tennis, running, sand volleyball, keeneland, ky derby, weddings (not mine!), concerts and many adventures are in my near future and i can NOT wait! that's really all i can think about these days and all i really have time for (school is SO overrated--36 days left, but who's counting?). happy liz?

what a beautiful day!

I'm with Brookie on this one. On a day like today, how can you not be happy? It's absolutely beautiful outside (the high today is 61), it's Sunday, one week til SB'10, it's senior day, and hopefully the cats will have some gator tail for lunch! Speaking of Florida, I've been in a real pickle about moving south after graduation. If you have been around me for the past 2 years, you know that the instant the weather drops below 40 degrees, I start complaining. My family and best friends live close to SC, and warm weather really does make me happy. On the contrary, I have met some of the best people in the big KY, and I have probably had the best 2 years of my life. Hopefully there will be some sort of guiding light to find a decision, even if I have to follow the sun...

next IOC president?

I have been watching the olympics over the past week or so. While they are not up to par to the summer olympics, it is still inspiring and amazing to watch. Many of these athletes are my age or younger. On one hand, I am totally jealous that they have achieved their life long goal while not even having their high school diploma (I bet I'm smarter than them, yet I am the one still in school). On the other hand, it is inspiring and makes me want to be a better athlete and never stop striving for perfection. This may just be a fad, but I think it would be really fun (and tons of work) to be the IOC president. Con: press conference on deaths in the olympics. Pro: traveling and being in charge of the Olympics (duh!). On the same topic of fitness, I have accumulated calluses on my hands from lifting consistently (for the first time in my life). Although not attractive, it is proof of my hard work and dedication. It reminds me of rips from the bars in gymnastics, hopefully that won't happen, I remember they hurt terribly and there was blood! Til next time, go team USA!
